Network Engineer
Network Engineer I is responsible to the Telecommunications Manager. Scope of the position is Sharp HealthCare system-wide. This position is responsible to provide technical expertise and support of all Network and VoIP related systems within Sharp HealthCare.
The department consists of both Network and Telecommunications personnel which includes the Director of Network Services, one Network Manager and one Telecommunications Manager, one Network Engineer Supervisor and 12 Network Engineers. This department manages all Network and Telecommunications systems and related equipment for Sharp HealthCare.
Sharp System Services have campuses located in the communities of Kearny Mesa and Serra Mesa and consist of the Spectrum location, the Ruffin Road location and Sharp Operations Center (SOC). These offices provide the centralized integrated system support services to the operating entities within the system. These services include: Strategic Planning, Business Development, Information Technology, Compliance, Internal Audit, Legal, Risk Management and Insurance, Contracts, Human Resources, Facilities Management and Development, Clinical Effectiveness, Finance, Nursing, Systems Supply Chain Services, Marketing and Communications, The Sharp Experience and Sharp University.

Less than one year
AS or AA in Computer Science, or related field
Experience and alternative technical training may be substituted for degree
Cisco CCENT Certification
Three years’ experience with desktop, mobile computing and/or network, including problem analysis/resolution, and installation or two years practical experience in data or voice network system support and/or operation.
Ability to provide technical support for trouble shooting, configuration and implementation of the Sharp Cisco VoIP desktop and wireless phone system
