In October 2008, some guy under a pseudonym (Satoshi Nakamoto) published a white paper entailing the method and the details on a new way of generating electronic currencies or (Cryptocurrency). Few months later, Satoshi published his first website to hold up the transactions and database of the new cryptocurrency named as bitcoin.org.
Everyone with the least interest in money and investment on earth now would know about Bitcoin. The black horse of currencies with a hot rising value in just few years from 1 cent value till it reached it's highest historic value of ($19,783.06 in December, 2017). This insane rise on bitcoin value was due to insane demand worldwide to buy that currency due to it's features like privacy as no one could know your personal information or ownership of it which made it a secure method of buying both legal and illegal gods online. The second important feature of Bitcoin is its limited count as the Bitcoin organization earlier detailed that only 21 million Bitcoins will be released eventually.
The brilliant code written by Satoshi and his solving of a very hard problem that faced earlier trials for cryptocurrencies was the double spending where the currency transaction could be duplicated both ways to make the same transaction twice. Satoshi solved this problem by using peer to peer method where only the transaction could go in one way between the buyer and the seller.
Satoshi Nakamoto as a computer genius was hiding behind a P2P foundation profile where he claimed to be living in Japan and born in 1975. These claims were investigated by many newspapers and magazines like the Newsweek and also many other solo-investigators who tried to decipher the pattern of his life and psychological habits.
These investigations came to some conclusions that Satoshi may not be a Japanese at all as he used a perfect English accent in his mailings with using some British expressions like (bloody hard). These English skills made some assumptions that Satoshi may be British or at least faking a good British accept during his speech or even using some friend to write his mailings in a thick British accent.
Also by analyzing the pattern of his activity, it was shown that he often stopped action in between 2-8 pm by Japan local timing. Looks like Mr. Satoshi had an inverted biological clock rhythm if he was really living in Japan.
Satoshi Nakamoto did't disclose any personal information about his identity other than the ones told above which could be fake for sure. However, there were many allegations that he was certainly in banking field before he created Bitcoin as he stated some commentary about banking methods during his early conversations. During recent time, many people were claimed to be Satoshi Nakamoto either by themselves or by other people. According to wikipedia, these were the closest guesses of the real identity of Mr, Nakamoto:
Hal Finney (who died in 2014 aged 58) was a cryptocurrency pioneer in the era before bitcoin. He was also the first person to use the bitcoin software after Nakamoto himself, he fixed some bugs at the early era of bitcoin and lived near Dorian Nakamoto's family house. Dorian himself was claimed to be the original coder of bitcoin to be Nakamoto himself. According to Newsweek, Mr. Finney's writing style was so close to Satoshi Nakamoto's writing style on P2P foundation website. However, there were some mailings between Nakamoto and Finney with the first Bitcoin transaction between both of them which may hint that eaither Finney had lived with two personalities or that he isn't the true Satoshi Nakamoto.
Nick Szabo was linked to the bitcoin whitepaper using a stylometric analysis. Szabo is also a cryptocurrency specialist who had published a white paper on some cryptocurrency called "bitgold". Bitgold is considered the precursor of Bitcoin and where the original idea came from. Mr Szabo was well known to use pseudonyms in many occasion and In a May 2011, Szabo stated about the bitcoin original inventor: "Myself, Wei Dai, and Hal Finney were the only people I know of who liked the idea (he means the idea of Bitcoin itself)". However, Szabo never claimed himself to be the real Satoshi Nakamoto.
Dorian Nakamoto during an interview
In a 2014 article, the magazine Newsweek journalist Leah McGrath Goodman identified Dorian Prentice Satoshi Nakamoto, a Japanese American man living in California, whose birth name is Satoshi Nakamoto, as the Nakamoto in question. Besides the name, the journalist stated that Mr. Dorian had both a physicist training and system engineering experience in classified government projects which makes him capable and willing of developing such brilliant code as claimed. During a conversation with his daughter, Dorian has advised her to start her own business and keep away from "Government Thumb"!, what is the meaning of this unless he was under pressure by some government issues due to his classified work and great pressure on him. He also has mentioned the Bitcoin to her as a great opportunity. During this conversation when was asked about the Bitcoin, Dorian stated that: "I am no longer involved in that and I cannot discuss it. It's been turned over to other people. They are in charge of it now. I no longer have any connection.". Later on, Dorian denied all allegations to be the true Satoshi Nakamoto or maybe he tried to stay away from trouble but he was certainly involved in developing Bitcoin at the early beginning.
According to Mr. Nakamoto's bitcoin wallet state, he holds now about 1 million bitcoins which means he has a net worth of almost 19 billion dollars!. This puts Nakamoto on the 44th place in Forbes list of richest people on earth.
Nobody is certain about the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, is he a real person or a group of people?. The only certain fact is that there are brilliant, genius, and filthy rich right now!.
